Things To Do In Zephyrhills, Florida
The community of Zephyrhills offers residents many things to do. From monthly cooking clubs for aspiring chefs, to a wonderful train museum, Zephyrhills is a unique and interesting locale.
Cooking is something many of us enjoy the benefits of, yet only about a quarter of us know how to do. To that extent, Zephyrhills has its “CookBook Book Club” which is essentially a swap meet for cookbooks and recipes. More than that however, they also occasionally bring samples of their recipes to the table, so that members of the club can find new recipes quickly. This club meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Zephyrhills Public Library, located at 5347 8th Street from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM. While that may seem like a long time to wait between meetings, keep in mind that after every meet, you have about a month of new recipes to try out!
Maybe you enjoy more technical attractions, like cars and boats or, dare I say, trains? If you said yes to that last one, or know anybody that would, head on down to Zephyrhills’ Depot Museum, the definitive stop in Zephyrhills to see trains. Open from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursdays and 9:00 AM to Noon on Saturdays and located at 39110 South Ave, this museum makes up for it’s short opening hours with amazing train exhibits. These exhibits emphasize the deep cultural connection to trains that the area has, and even has a gift shop that sells model trains! This biweekly attraction is an event for all of the train lovers out there.
