About Valrico
Valrico used to be a region of cotton plantations known as Long Pond. When William G. Tousey purchased land here in the 1880s, he renamed it – and its name today means “valley of gold.” During the 1890s, the Florida Central and Peninsular Railroad really brought the area to life.
Valrico is consistently growing, and it’s a business-friendly community where everyone is welcome. About 36,000 people are living here, according to the Census Bureau, and there are homes for sale all over the style and price spectrums.
