Hope Scholarship Program For Bullying Victims
Have you heard of Florida’s Hope Scholarship program? It’s a cool program that helps fund scholarships for students who are victims of bullying or physical attacks in school. The program started this year. The scholarships will begin being awarded for the 2018-2019 school year. It is funded in a unique way.
It allows people who purchase motor vehicles to contribute their vehicle sales tax right to actually fun private school scholarship. Sometimes, this type of schooling is needed for the children to feel safe. The students can also transfer into other public school districts, but the Hope Scholarship program pays for scholarships to private schools.
This program allows purchasers of motor vehicles to contribute their vehicle sales tax to fund private school scholarships.
This is the first program in the nation specifically for funding scholarships for private school to victims of violence or bullying. It’s obviously limited to students who were physically attacked or bullied in public schools. The maximum scholarship that is awarded is $6,700.
