Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park
Winter Village & Outdoor Skating
From the end of November through December 25th, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is the place to go for holiday fun. You can lace up some ice skates and go skating outdoors or do your holiday shopping at their pop-up market. After all the activity, you can relax at the café and snack bar, or even grab a cocktail.
Christmas at Lowry Park Zoo
Christmas in the Wild at Lowry Park Zoo
On Fridays and Saturdays in December, the Lowry Park Zoo is holding its “Christmas in the Wild” show. Hundreds of displays will be aglow, as you stroll through the zoo listening to carolers and enjoying seasonal refreshments. Santa will make an appearance each night to visit with the children.
The City of Tampa’s Christmas Tree Lighting
Head over to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park on Friday, December 2, at 6 p.m. to watch the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. There will be live music, free Chick-fil-A sandwiches and a movie in the park to ring in the Christmas season. You’ll also have a chance to win $1000 in the Secret Santa Giveaway Contest.
Santa Fest and the Christmas Parade
Santa Fest & Tampa’s Downtown Christmas Parade
The 35th Annual Santa Fest and Tampa’s Downtown Christmas Parade will be held on December 3. The parade kicks off at 11:00 a.m. and Santa Fest will be held after. This year’s Santa Fest will feature arts and crafts, dance performers, games and bounce houses. Santa will be there to take photos with the little ones and hear their wish lists. Be sure to get your parking spot early, as this event draws in thousands of visitors.
