The City of Tampa wants to make sure you’re aware of emergency alerts in Tampa no matter where you are. It uses the emergency alert system Alter Tampa. Alert Tampa lets you get updates when emergencies threaten our city or even your own neighborhood. You can opt-in or out of certain alerts. Available alerts include critical threats, hurricanes, hurricane reentries, boil orders, gas leaks, hostage situations, evacuations and other informational alerts. You can also get notified about changes to garbage pick-up services, planned street closures or emerging crime patterns.

All of these things can help you stay safe and make informed choices. To get these alerts, sign up now here. Alerts will get sent directly to your home phone, your cell phone or your email address. You get to specify what alerts you want to get and where you want to receive them!
